Baked firecracker chicken


1/2 cup hot sauce

1/2 cup brown sugar or honey

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

2 cloves grated garlic

1 pinch red pepper flakes

1 tbsp oil

1 pound chicken breast

Salt and pepper to taste


Heat hot sauce, sugar, soy, vinegar, garlic and chilli flakes in saucepan until sugar has melted into the sauce.

Hear oil in large skillet over medium high heat, season chicken with salt and pepper add to the pan and brown 3 – 5 mins each side.

Transfer to preheated 400F/200C oven and bake until cooked, approx 10 – 15 mins, basting eith sauce every 5 mins

Serve with remaining sauce
